Gold futures opened marginally higher at Rs 31,024 per 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 31,022. It was traded at Rs 31,074 at 12.40 pm. The December contract hit a high of Rs 31,076 and a low of Rs 31,016.
In the Comex, it was up by $4 at $1,716 a troy ounce at 12.40 pm.
Gold futures, both in Indian and Comex, may trade weak as the US is expected to announce data on personal income and spending. Bullion traders are expecting positive growth in personal income after the country’s GDP rose recently.
