Gold futures on the MCX opened higher at Rs 29,770 for 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 29,740. It hit a high of Rs 29,770 and low of Rs 29,680. It was down by 0.18 per cent at Rs 29,685 at 1.25 pm.
In the Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was up by $1.7 at $1,574 a troy ounce at 1.25 pm.
