Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened higher at Rs 27,006 per 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 26,962.
The yellow metal made a high of Rs 27,138 and low of Rs 27,006. It was up by 0.63 per cent at Rs 27,132 at 1.24 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for June delivery was up by $9 at $1,473 a troy ounce at 1.24 p.m.
