Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 29,579 per 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 29,605.
It made a high of Rs 29,618 and low of Rs 29,539. It was trading down by 0.05 per cent at Rs 29,591 at 1.18 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was up by $12 at $1,585 a troy ounce at 1.18 p.m.
