Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened marginally lower at Rs 30,598 per 10 grams on Wednesday against the previous close of Rs 30,599.
April contract made a high of Rs 30,629 and low of Rs 30,569. It was trading down 0.03 per cent at Rs 30,589 at 1.10 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was down by $0.8 at $1.673 a troy ounce at 1.10 pm. Spot gold was down $2 at $1,674 a troy ounce.
