Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened higher at Rs 28,000 per 10 grams on Thursday against the previous close of Rs 27,952.
August contract made a high of Rs 28,186 and low of Rs 27,980. It was up by 0.63 per cent at Rs 28,129 at 12.27 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for August delivery was down by $3 at $1,389 a troy ounce at12.27 p.m.
