Gold rose Rs 35 to Rs 26,849 per 10 grams at the futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December rose Rs 35 or 0.13 per cent to Rs 26,849 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 13 lots.
Similarly, the yellow metal for delivery in October moved up by Rs 33 or 0.12 per cent to Rs 26,656 per 10 grams in 744 lots.
Market analysts said speculators enlarged their positions on the back of a firm global trend, supporting the upside in gold prices at the futures trade.
Globally, the yellow metal traded higher at $1,134.33 an ounce in Singapore from $1,133.55 on Friday.
