Silver prices went up by Rs 602 to Rs 41,100 per kg at the futures trading today as participants widened their positions, tracking a firm trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December was trading notably higher by Rs 602 or 1.49 per cent at Rs 41,100 per kg in a business turnover of 511 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March 2017 was up by Rs 593 or 1.44 per cent to Rs 41,672 per kg in 69 lots.
Analysts said a firm trend overseas, where silver rallied, mainly influenced white metal prices at the futures trade.
Globally, silver rose 2.91 per cent to $16.79 an ounce in Singapore.
