Taking weak cues from overseas markets, silver prices fell Rs 88 to Rs 46,385 per kg at the futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September was trading lower by Rs 88 or 0.19 per cent at Rs 46,385 per kg in a business turnover of 341 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in far-month December declined by Rs 67 or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 47,485 per kg in a business volume of 14 lots.
In the international market, silver fell 0.43 per cent to $19.51 an ounce in New York yesterday.
Traders said the fall in silver prices was largely in line with a weak trend in precious metals at global markets as a stronger dollar and rebound in equities cut the demand for precious metals.
