Silver prices fell 0.25 per cent to Rs 47,600 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded lower by Rs 117 or 0.25 per cent at Rs 47,600 per kg in a business turnover of 128 lots.
In the international market, silver fell 0.32 per cent to $20.33 an ounce in Singapore.
Analysts attributed the fall in silver futures trade to a weak trajectory in global markets and trimming of positions by speculators at the futures trade.
