Silver prices fell Rs 70 to Rs 45,535 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators cut down their bets to book profits.
Silver for delivery in December was down by Rs 70 or 0.15 per cent at Rs 45,535 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange. It clocked a business volume of 416 lots.
The white metal for delivery in far-month March 2017 fell Rs 53 to trade at Rs 46,510 per kg in a business turnover of six lots.
Market analysts said profit-booking at prevailing levels and fresh losses in the white metal overseas mainly pulled down silver prices at the futures trade here.
In the international market, silver traded 0.13 per cent lower at $18.91 an ounce in Singapore.
