Silver prices rose Rs 330 to Rs 40,056 per kg at the futures trade today as participants raised their bets amid a firm trend in precious metals overseas.
Silver for delivery in far-month May was up by Rs 330 or 0.83 per cent at Rs 40,056 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange in a business turnover of 12 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in March spurted Rs 319 or 0.82 per cent to Rs 39,437 per kg in 599 lots.
