Silver futures prices today moved up by Rs 52 to Rs 63,533 per kg as speculators created fresh positions, taking a positive cues from overseas market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose Rs 52 or 0.08 per cent to Rs 63,533 per kg in a business turnover of 80 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 44 or 0.07 per cent to Rs 61,822 per kg in 2,546 lots.
Market analysts said fresh buying by speculators in tandem with a firm global trend mainly pushed up silver futures.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.2 per cent to $34.05 an ounce in Singapore.
