Tracking a firm trend overseas, silver prices were up by Rs 67 to Rs 48,083 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators raised their bets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December was trading higher by Rs 67 or 0.14 per cent to Rs 48,083 per kg in a business turnover of 11 lots.
The white metal for delivery in September too was up by Rs 13 or 0.03 per cent to Rs 46,906 per kg in 563 lots.
Market analysts said speculative position created by participants, driven by a firm global trend , supported the upside at silver futures here.
Meanwhile, silver climbed 0.10 per cent to $19.66 an ounce in Singapore.
