Silver prices rose 0.29 per cent to Rs 42,774 per kg at the futures trade today largely in tune with a firm trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March was trading higher by Rs 123 or 0.29 per cent at Rs 42,774 per kg in a business turnover of 354 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in May rose Rs 119 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 43,300 per kg in three lots.
In the international market, silver gained 0.06 per cent to $17.96 an ounce in Singapore today.
Market analysts said a firm trend in global market mainly influenced silver futures.
