The board of directors of Motherson Sumi Systems will consider issue of bonus shares on November 1. The board will also take on record the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2013, the company informed the BSE.
The stock jumped 3.6 per cent to Rs 258.35 on the BSE.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2013, the company reported a net profit of Rs 80.8 crore on a revenue of Rs 1,078 crore.
The large-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 58.79 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
The company has been rewarding investors quite consistently through bonus issues. In 2012 too, it announced a 1:2 bonus issue.
Motherson Sumi Systems supplies components, modules and systems to the automotive sector. Its business portfolio encompasses electrical distribution system (EDS), polymer products and complete module solutions. It is the largest supplier of EDS to the Indian automotive industry.
