NSE harnesses wind energy for captive power usage

National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) has with the completion of a 6.25 MW wind power project become the first equity bourse to harness wind energy for captive power usage.

Suzlon Group, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, was the technical partner for supply and commissioning of the project, which is located at Satara, Maharashtra.

As much as 65 per cent of the energy consumption of the NSE office located at Exchange Plaza Building, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, will be met by this wind project, according to an NSE release.
