Amid market mayhem, the shares of Ruchi Soya hit the upper circuit on Wednesday. The stock of the oil and oil seeds refiner has been on a downtrend after hitting ₹9.14 on May 6. On Wednesday, after plummeting 5 per cent to hit the lower circuit limit of ₹5.96 intra-day, the stock soared 10 per cent to hit the upper circuit cap of ₹6.58 on the BSE. On the NSE, the stock closed at ₹6.55 after hitting ₹6.6 intra-day. Though there is no news on the sudden spike in the share price, it is rumoured that investors might have made bets on the scrip on hope of NCLT’s verdict on Patanjali takeover soon. Our Bureau
