Sahara Group told the Supreme Court today that it is difficult to raise money while the company chief Subrata Roy is in jail.
No international buyer would like to visit the jail to negotiate a deal, Sahara counsel Ram Jethmalani said.
The apex court has also declined Sahara’s plea to keep Subrata Roy under house arrest instead of in Tihar jail.
"You are in our custody. We have not sent you in civil imprisonment,'' the apex court told Roy.
