The Securities and Appellate Tribunal (SAT) on Tuesday adjourned its hearing till April 13 in Sahara Group Chief Subrata Roy’s plea against SEBI’s property attachment order.
The final hearing on this matter was slated for today at a SAT meeting in the capital, but it was deferred as three more fresh appeals flowed in against the same SEBI property attachment order.
With Fresh appeals
The hearing of Subrata Roy plea will be taken along with the three fresh appeals filed by the two Sahara companies — Sahara India Real Estate Corp Ltd and Sahara Housing Investment Corp Ltd — and their three directors.
At its meeting in Mumbai on April 13, SAT is expected to first decide the question of maintainability of these pleas — an issue raised by SEBI.
