The Finance Ministry has received 70 applications for the post of Chairman of Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), the pension regulator.
The process of shortlisting eligible candidates for the top post is expected to be completed next month, sources close to the development said. The Chairman’s post at the pension regulator fell vacant in November last year following the resignation of Yogesh Agarwal. Currently, Anup Wadhawan, a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, is acting as interim Chairman.
