The number of small- and medium-sized enterprises listed on the BSE’s platform could reach 100 soon. The platform has been gaining ground with 82 listings since its inception. The SME platform crossed a market capitalisation of ₹10,000 crore on Friday.
Ajay Thakur, Head, BSE SME, said, “We are happy to have reached this milestone and expect many more companies to list on our SME platform in the coming days.”
Merchant bankers have said that the BSE was serious about growing the SME platform and has been creating awareness in SME clusters across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and West Bengal.
OP Chains, Raghuvansh Agrofarms, Amsons Apparels, Saami Tradestar Logistics and Akme Star Housing Finance are some of the companies that have filed their draft prospectus with the platform.
Merchant bankers indicated that about due diligence of over 20 companies were on and an equal number have shown interest in listing on the SME exchange.
