DSP BlackRock Investment Managers on Wednesday announced the launch of its new branch here.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ajit Menon, who heads the all-India sales for the asset management company, said Thiruvananthapuram has been rising in the list of cities with a large number of investors.
The company already has a large investor-base from here. Until now, it has been servicing investors here through the distributor network.
“But now, it has become imperative for us to be present in the city locally. We see a strong pattern of growth in investors amongst many emerging cities in India, and we plan to launch a few more branches across India over the coming months,” he added.
DSP BlackRock, at present, manages assets, including offshore advisory funds of Rs 41,264 crore (as on February 28, 2010).
