Reflecting their strength on the BSE, IT stocks led the charge on the NSE as well in the morning session on Tuesday.
At 11 am HCL Technologies was the top gainer on the bourse, trading at Rs 1,536.20. This represented a gain of 3.43 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 1,485.30.
Tech Mahindra spurted 3.25 per cent to trade at Rs 2,576.75. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 2,495.75.
TCS gained 2.61 per cent at Rs 2,420.15. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 2,358.65.
BPCL flared up 1.44 per cent at Rs 645.50 as against Rs 636.35 at close overnight.
Infosys was up 0.95 per cent to trade at Rs 1,943.05 as against Rs 1,924.80 at close yesterday.
