In the global financial scene, Indian companies are better positioned than their peer group in developed countries.

This is due to increasing global presence, healthier financials and lower leverage.

To reach the next level, India Inc has to undertake significant expansion in markets overseas with the inorganic route being the preferred choice.

This entails raising funds from domestic and international markets, managing risks and involves newer challenges in managing projects.

New paradigms

With this view in mind, the finance club of IFMR business school in association with the Bombay Stock Exchange is hosting a national level finance summit ‘Arthasabha'.

The theme is ‘New Financial Paradigms for the Indian Enterprise' on Friday at BSE's international convention hall.

Through a series of keynote addresses and panel discussions by eminent speakers, the summit aims to discuss financing choices and challenges facing the Indian multi national, risk management issues and new asset classes for Indian Capital Markets.
