To minimise unauthorised trading through investor accounts, the BSE will send an SMS to investors containing details of trades done during the day, starting October 12.
In a circular on September 28, the exchange had asked trading members to upload the mobile numbers and e-mail ids of their clients in the unique client code (UCC) database.
Investors will have the facility to inform the exchange in case the trade details received via SMS does not pertain to them.
