The National Stock Exchange has launched a KYC (know your customer) registration agency (KRA) through its wholly owned subsidiary Dotex International on Tuesday.
KRA ensures that KYC records in the securities market are centralised.
All SEBI-regulated entities such as brokers, mutual funds, depository participants and portfolio managers would be able to use the KYC details of investors as and when required.
It is also beneficial for clients as they have to undergo the registration process only once.
