Rajya Sabha MP and Reliance Industries Ltd Group President, Mr Parimal Nathwani, has been elected as Chairman of Vadodara Stock Exchange.
The board of directors unanimously elected Mr Nathwani as Chairman at its meeting on Thursday. He has been on the stock exchange’s board since February 2008 as a director, according to a press release.
Established in 1990, the Vadodara Stock Exchange is the third stock exchange of Gujarat after those in Ahmedabad and Rajkot. It is recognised by the Securities Contract (Regulation) Act, 1956 as a permanent stock exchange. Incorporated on January 22, 1990 as Vadodara Stock Exchange, it started as the Vadodara Stock Brokers’ Association in 1986.
