Auto stocks Hero MotoCorp and Mahindra & Mahindra extended their firm run on the BSE into late trade on Monday. But the top gainer on the bourse in late trading was ONGC, which flared up 3.09 per cent to trade at ₹430.60. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹417.70.
Hero MotoCorp shed some of its morning gains to quote at ₹2,575.95, up 2.22 per cent on its previous close of ₹2,520.
M&M traded steady to hold gains of 1.59 per cent at ₹1,160. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹1,141.90.
Sesa Sterlite also edged lower to trade at ₹297.55. This was a gain of 1.97 per cent on its previous finish at ₹291.80.
BHEL also made rapid gains ahead of the close. It was trading at ₹243.55. This represented a 1.93 per cent gain on its previous close of ₹238.95.
