Pharma stocks extended their gains on the BSE ahead of the close on Wednesday. At 3 pm Sun Pharma held on to its position as the top gainer on the bourse, quoting at ₹845.55. This represented a gain of 4.45 per cent on its previous close at ₹809.50.
Cipla made rapid strides to hold gains of 4.09 per cent at ₹498.35. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹473.95.
Dr Reddy’s Labs also made further ground to hold gains of 2.37 per cent at ₹2,891.35. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹2,824.45.
Tata Power charged up 1.83 per cent to quote at ₹94.45. The stock finished yesterday’s session at ₹92.75.
BHEL steamed up 1.32 per cent at ₹230.25. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹227.25.
