Auto majors Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors were broadly firm on the bourses on Monday. M&M, the top gainer on the NSE in the morning session, stayed ahead of the pack near the close. At 3.30 pm the stock was quoting at ₹1,229.15 as against ₹1,159.30 at close on Friday. This represented a gain of 6.03 per cent.
Sesa Sterlite was trading at ₹279.20 as against ₹268.35 at close last week. This was a gain of 4.04 per cent.
HCL Technologies also rode up 3.37 per cent at ₹1,386.20. The stock had finished Friday’s session at ₹1,341.05.
Wipro gained 3.27 per cent to trade at ₹506. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹490.
Tata Motors sprinted up 2.96 per cent to trade at ₹444.05 as againt its previous close at ₹431.30.
