Sigh of relief for float glass producers

Shares of Saint Gobain Glass and Asahi India Glass may see some buying interest, as the Finance Ministry has imposed anti-dumping duty on ‘clear float glass’ imports from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE for five years. The Indian industry has been waiting for relief from the Commerce Ministry so that imports from West Asia and Pakistan are curbed. The latest move by the Government will help Indian industry regain the market share due to competitive price advantage.
