Pharma and IT stocks maintained their firm trend on the BSE near the close on Friday.
At 2.50 pm Sun Pharma Industries remained the top gainer on the BSE, quoting at ₹661.70, up 4.14 per cent on its previous close of ₹635.40.
TCS advanced further to hold gains of 3.56 per cent at ₹2,391.60. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹2,309.40.
Dr Reddy’s also extended its morning gains to trade at ₹2,558. This represented a 2.12 per cent gain on its overnight close of ₹2,504.80.
Wipro edged up 1.83 per cent to trade at ₹545.45 as against its overnight close of ₹535.65.
ITC spurted 0.98 per cent to trade at ₹319.35. The stock had ended Thursday’s session at ₹316.25.
