Tata Power spiked up 4.43 per cent in late trading to emerge the top gainer on the BSE ahead of the close. At 2.45 pm it was trading at ₹108.40. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹103.80.
Sun Pharma also extended its recent gains to ride up 3.90 per cent. It was trading at ₹686.40 as against its previous close of ₹660.65.
ICICI Bank also made further ground to hold gains of 3.01 per cent at ₹1,426.50 as against last week's close of ₹1,384.80.
Larsen & Toubro consolidated its firm trend to hold gains of 2.79 per cent at ₹1,712.85 as against ₹1,666.35 at close on Friday.
ONGC made rapid gains near the close. It was trading at ₹421.5 as against its previous close at ₹411.05. This was a gain of 2.54 per cent.
