Shares of cement maker ACC Ltd gained as much as 4 per cent to their highest since October 25, 2016.
At about 10.05 am, the stock was up 3.92 per cent or Rs 58.65 at Rs 1,555.40 on the BSE.
The stock was among the top percentage gainers on the NSE.
The company has reported better-than-expected profit for the March-quarter, helped by stronger cement sales volume.
Quarterly sales volume at ACC's cement segment rose 4 per cent as impact from the Government's move to withdraw high-denomination notes declined, the company said on Friday.
The stock is up 12.3 per cent this year up to Friday's close.
