Andhra Sugars has informed the exchanges that its board of directors has taken a decision to abandon crushing operations at sugar unit-I, Tanuku, Tamil Nadu, for the 2015-16 season in view of unviable operations. The company has not given any other details. Shares of Andhra Sugars edged up 2.83 per cent at ₹92.60 on the BSE.
