Bombay Stock Exchange has appointed Ashish Kumar Chauhan as MD & CEO. He is currently the interim-CEO of the exchange.
Stock market regulator SEBI has approved Chauhan's appointment.
Chauhan joined the BSE as Deputy CEO in 2009 and has been instrumental in contributing immensely to technology upgradation, product development and regulatory issues.
He is a member of SEBI's primary market advisory committee, Central Board of Direct Taxes, and in the Board of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur.
An IIT Bombay, IIM Calcutta alumnus, he was Group Chief Information Officer of Reliance Industries Ltd prior to joining BSE.
