HDFC was broadly firm on Monday morning, emerging the top gainer on both the BSE and NSE. At 10.29 am it was trading at Rs 1,324.85 on the NSE. This represented a gain of 2.03 per cent on its previous close at Rs 1,298.45.
Asian Paints spurted 1.88 per cent to quote at Rs 915.50 against Rs 898.65 at close last week.
BPCL flared up 1.52 per cent to trade at Rs 970.05 against Rs 955.50 at close in the previous session.
Hindalco Industries spiked up 1.51 per cent to quote at Rs 111.20. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 109.55.
Lupin perked up 1.47 per cent at Rs 1,719.35 against Rs 1,694.40 at close previously.
