Asian markets fell on Thursday, following a slide on Wall Street, as investors took fright at a warning from the Federal Reserve that the United States faced a grim economic outlook with "significant downside risks".
Most of the indices are trading sharply in the red with Hang Seng trading lower by 3.8 per cent while Kospi is down by 3.4 per cent. Nikkei drifts by 1.6 per cent and Taiwan drops by 2.8 per cent.
