Assam Company has said that it redeemed $21.07 million foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs).
The Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee to the company’s FCCBs.
The RBI had set the extended redemption deadline for March 31, the company with interests in tea and oil, said in a note. It said the principal amount and the redemption premium were paid off sticking to the deadline.
It added that it would apply to the RBI seeking time till May 31 to repay the balance matured $10.73 million principal unredeemed FCCBs.
