Auto sales figures on analysts’ radars

Auto stocks will be in focus this week, as auto majors start declaring their sales numbers for December 2014, beginning Thursday. Though most players expect muted growth, particularly by LCV and SUV makers, some feel two-wheelers could surprise positively. Most auto majors have said they will raise prices of passenger and commercial vehicles from January. Whether the fear of price hikes has boosted sales will be known when the sales figures are announced.
