Automobile companies Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, M&M, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors and TVS Motor will announce their February sales numbers on Friday. Most analysts expect the sales numbers to remain muted or dull due to selective financing by non-banking financial companies (on tight liquidity situation) and overall slowdown in the economy ahead of the general elections. However, positive surprise by any company could be rewarded well by market players.
