The markets returned to the green on Thursday after suffering massive losses amid a sell-off in equities yesterday.
At 11.24 TCS was the top gainer on the NSE, trading at Rs 2,527.40. This represented a gain of 2.61 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 2,463.05.
Bajaj Auto rode up 2.46 per cent at Rs 2,069.95 as against Rs 2,020.30 at close yesterday.
Bharti Airtel, the lone share to make modest gains yesterday, moved up further to quote at Rs 399.20. This was up 2.31 per cent on its previous close at Rs 390.20.
Hero MotoCorp advanced 1.67 per cent at Rs 2,365.15. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 2,326.40.
Infosys was also on firm ground, posting gains of 1.57 per cent at Rs 1,952.30 as against Rs 1,922.05 at close yesterday.
