Bajaj Auto vaulted nearly 7 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the BSE on Thursday. At the close the share was trading at Rs 2,299.75 as against Rs 2,150.50 at close on Wednesday. This represents a gain of 6.94 per cent. In Q4 results announced today the company said net profit had dropped nearly 19 per cent.
Coal India made further gains to quote at Rs 372.70 as against Rs 360.05 at close on Wednesday. This represented a gain of 3.51 per cent.
Axis Bank also made further ground to notch up gains of 2.19 per cent at Rs 570.85 as against Rs 558.60 at close on Wednesday.
Sun Pharma rose 1.52 per cent to trade at Rs 980.80 as against Rs 966.15 at close yesterday.
L&T built gains of 1.50 per cent to quote at Rs 1,637.80. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 1,613.55.
