Banking shares surged to emerge the top gainers on the markets at the close of trading on Friday. At 3.24 pm Punjab National Bank was the top gainer on the NSE. It was trading at Rs 166.75 against Rs 152.85 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 9.09 per cent.
Zee Entertainment spiked up 4.85 per cent at Rs 420.25 against Rs 400.80 at close overnight.
YES Bank advanced 4.59 per cent at Rs 797.10 against Rs 762.15 at close previously.
Bank of Baroda rode up 4.24 per cent to quote at Rs 184.25 against Rs 176.75 at close yesterday.
Kotak Mahindra Bank was trading at Rs 718.80 against Rs 690.75 at close previously. This represented a gain of 4.06 per cent.
