Financial sector shares were among the top gainers on the BSE in the morning session on Friday. State Bank of India led the charge at 11.10 am. It was trading at Rs 297.90 as against Rs 289.35 at close on Thursday. This was gain of 2.95 per cent.
HDFC and ICICI Bank also moved up over 1 per cent. HDFC gained 1.65 per cent to trade at Rs 1,276.65 as against Rs 1,255.95 at close yesterday.
ICICI Bank was up 1.15 per cent at Rs 317 as against Rs 313.40 at close on Thursday.
ITC notched up gains of 1.63 per cent to trade at Rs 332.70 as against Rs 327.35 at close yesterday.
ONGC flared up 1.02 per cent to trade at Rs 320.85 as against Rs 317.60 at close overnight.
