Sun Pharma Industries maintained its firm trend on the bourses to end Wednesday’s session at the top on the NSE. It closed at Rs 1,081.15 as against Rs 1,023.90 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 5.59 per cent.
A slew of banking shares surged to emerge among the top gainers on the bourse by the close of the session. Today’s session will be the last for this week as the markets are closed for festival holidays on Thursday and Friday.
Punjab National Bank made rapid strides to notch up gains of 5.23 per cent at Rs 151.95 as against Rs 144.40 at close on Tuesday.
IndusInd Bank traded up 4.43 per cent at Rs 925.25. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 886.
Bharti Airtel dialled up gains of 1.96 per cent to quote at Rs 401. The share had closed the Tuesday session at Rs 393.30.
Yes Bank rode up 3.92 per cent at Rs 847.75. The scrip had closed the overnight session at Rs 815.75.
Kotak Mahindra Bank was trading at Rs 1,361.05 as against Rs 1,313.25 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 3.64 per cent.
