Banking stocks hogged the limelight on the NSE on Wednesday. At the close public sector major Bank of Baroda was the top gainer, trading at ₹806.55 as against ₹780.50 at close on Tuesday, a gain of 3.34 per cent.
Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank held gains of 2.63 per cent at ₹822.40. The stock had closed yesterday’s session at ₹801.30.
Larsen & Toubro extended its morning gains to close up 2.21 per cent at ₹1,376.35 as against ₹1,346.55 at the finish on Tuesday.
Punjab National Bank rose 2.11 per cent to quote at ₹805.05. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹788.45.
Ambuja Cement made rapid gains to trade at ₹218.75 as against ₹214.60 at close on Tuesday. This was a gain of 1.93 per cent.
