With the Sensex tanking over 500 points in the morning session on Wednesday, Bharti Airtel was the only share in the green on both the BSE and the NSE. The markets were rattled by a sell-off in sovereign bonds.
At mid-session the Bharti Airtel scrip was quoting at Rs 399.85 on the BSE, up 3.36 per cent on its Tuesday close at Rs 386.85. On the NSE the scrip was trading at Rs 399.95. This represented a gain of 3.33 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 387.05.
