Bharti Airtel was the top gainer on the BSE on Wednesday morning. At 10.49 am it held gains of 3.04 per cent to trade at Rs 365.80 as against Rs 355 at close yesterday.
HDFC built gains of 2.70 per cent at Rs 1,284.25. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 1,250.50.
State Bank of India traded up 2.53 per cent at Rs 326.10 as against Tuesday’s close at Rs 318.05.
Maruti Suzuki sped up 1.79 per cent at Rs 3,667.30 as against Rs 3,602.90 at close overnight.
Sun Pharma Industries rose 1.43 per cent to quote at Rs 882.40. The share had closed Tuesday’s session at Rs 870.
The markets maintained their uptrend with the Sensex and the Nifty notching up substantial gains, riding on positive Asian cues. The Sensex gained more than a 100 points during the session to breach the 28,900 level, while the Nifty gained over 20 points to stand above the 8,700 level.
